Την μουσική έγραψε ο Richie Blackmore και τους στίχους ο David Coverdale, ο οποίος είχε δηλώσει πως έγραψε επτά διαφορετικές εκδοχές πριν κάνει την τελική επιλογή. Το "Burn" κυκλοφόρησε και αυτόνομα, ως single (7").

Whitesnake - Here I Go Again (video)

Wikipedia: «"Here I Go Again" is a #1 hit song recorded by British rock band Whitesnake. Originally released on their 1982 album, Saints & Sinners, the song was re-recorded for their eponymous 1987 album Whitesnake. The song was re-recorded yet another time that year in a new "radio-mix" version.

The 1987 album version hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on 10 October 1987 and number nine on the UK Singles Chart on 28 November 1987. The 1987 version also hit number one on the Canadian Singles Chart on 24 October 1987. In 2006, the 1987 version was ranked number 17 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of the '80s.

The song was written by the lead singer, David Coverdale, and former Whitesnake guitarist, Bernie Marsden. The most notable differences between the original and re-recorded versions are a slight change in the lyrics. The chorus of the original version features the lines:

"An' here I go again on my own

Goin' down the only road I've ever known

Like a hobo I was born to walk alone"

In an interview, Coverdale claimed that he changed the lyric to "drifter" in the re-recorded versions because he was afraid people would think he was saying "homo" instead of "hobo".

The music video for the song was directed by Marty Callner, who directed most of Whitesnake's videos in the 1980s. It became memorable due to actress Tawny Kitaen's appearance wearing white lingerie. In the video she is seen prancing on the hood of Whitesnake lead singer David Coverdale's Jaguar XJ and massaging him while he is trying in vain to concentrate on driving. Kitaen would later become Coverdale's wife.»

"Shine", the new album by Bernie Marsden, will be released on August 18, 2014 on Provogue! At a rough guesstimate Bernie Marsden’s name appears on a hundred albums – maybe more. In addition to a long-running solo career the Buckinghamshire-born guitarist has been a recording musician since the early 1970s via membership of such groups as Whitesnake, UFO, Wild Turkey, Babe Ruth, Paice Ashton & Lord, Cozy Powell’s Hammer, Alaska, M3 and many more.

Though there’s a tendency to pigeonhole him as a blues-rock guitarist, each of Marsden’s acts had its own individual flavour. Although Marsden was wary of flooding the credits with too many special guests, "Shine" does feature some extremely well-known names, from Joe Bonamassa to Whitesnake singer David Coverdale and the Deep Purple duo of Ian Paice (drums) and Don Airey (keyboards). Whitesnake: Made in Britain (trailer)

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce an explosive new double live album from legendary rock band, Whitesnake. MADE IN BRITAIN - THE WORLD RECORD, will be released as a 2-CD set in Europe on July 5th and in North America on July 9th. During 2011, the mighty Whitesnake embarked on one of their most successful world tours in recent times, performing 96 shows in more than 35 countries, starting in North America in May until the second UK run in December. The request for another live album came from Whitesnake's incredibly loyal fans - never ones for being notoriously shy about insisting what they want from their favourite musical reptiles. Before heading out on the "Forevermore World Tour 2011", the decision was made to record every performance on the tour.
